ABOUT THE AUTHOR

When I was a small child, my most impressive memories were of trips to the family farm. This farm was where my grandparents lived. There were cows, chickens and most importantly HORSES! My grandfather used horses to work the fields and there was a little bay gelding named 'Fred' just for me to ride. I rode the fields and creek banks for hours.

It was many years later as an adult, while searching for that SOMETHING that was missing in my life that I discovered that it was the HORSES. I felt the need, (as so many I knew) to have something in my life for recreation, stress relief and an activity that would bond my family together. Horses and the chores that go along with them have taught my children responsibility, loyalty, hard work, respect and most of all, the love of animals that my grandfather instilled in me all those many years ago.

The year's have brought many things including the ever growing need to relax. Horses have kept my children busy, off the streets and out of the drug scene.

Many years ago an old rancher told me "The OUTSIDE of a HORSE is good for the
INSIDE
of a PERSON".

I never understood till many years later.

The OUTSIDE Of A Horse
 is Good for the

INSIDE
of a Person!
